Covid-19 Daily Update
Dear Parents / Carers
Good afternoon, we feel it is important for the time being to do daily updates regarding Covid-19.
We have plans in place for all likely scenarios and we are waiting to be guided by government policy and announcements. Any updates will be sent through Parentmail.
Self-Isolation
Please alert the school if you are self-isolating so that we can monitor the situation. Parents, pupils and staff need to follow the latest government advice which is to stay at home for 7 days if you have either
– A high temperature
– A new continuous cough
Please note that in order to protect others in our community no pupils should return to school before the full 7 days isolation is complete. As a school we will try to set work for those self-isolating through Google Classroom.
GCSE Exams
We recognise that pupils and parents will be concerned about the potential impact on GCSE exams. Please be re-assured that we are monitoring this situation closely and as per OFQUAL guidance pupils should continue to prepare for the GCSE examinations as normal. Mr Spetch has spoken to all year 11 pupils about this in assembly this morning.
Visitors to School
Only essential visitors will be allowed onto the school site at this time. If you have a meeting booked please assume that this will be going ahead unless you hear otherwise.
The latest government guidance can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public
Once again many thanks for your ongoing support and cooperation at this time, it is hugely appreciated.
